碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 管理碩士在職專班 === 95 === Motorcycles have been the most popular transportation vehicles available for people in Taiwan counties or cities. There is also a legislative law made in 1997 for the obligation of wearing safety helmet while riding a motorcycle, including all the children while they are taken in the backseat. However, the actual performance is not all the same in every area. Most researches focus on post-accident review only. In this research, we investigated the actual performance status of wearing safety helmet for children while they were taken by the motorcycle in the kindergartens. We also introduce the prevention point of view and place-oriented concept in this research. We use different survey to evaluate the actual percentage of children wearing safety helmet in the kinder garden while they are taken by motorcycles. There were observation survey, kindergarten in-charge personal survey, and parents survey used in this research. Statistical methods used were proportional percentile analysis and chi-square test. The safety helmet wearing rate is 32.6% in observation survey, 57.2% in kindergarten in-charge personal survey, and 55.7% in parent survey separately.
