Summary:碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 運動教練研究所 === 95 === Abstract The study of this topic applied the qualitative research and in-depth interview method with three major theme questions. Firstly, wrestling coaching behavior patterns, secondly, wrestling coaches training and management and thirdly, the interaction between coach and wrestlers. There were three national champion team coaches from 2005 National Wrestling Competitions and who were all national representatives for the sport of wrestling in the past. The results of interview were as follows. Firstly, the best leadership is to set an example and in addition to have good ability of persuasion and guidance with good technical ability, strategy ability, management ability and good human relationship which are all required to shape the leadership style and characteristics of the coaches which can improve the wrestlers’ competition capability, develop the spirit of adversity, promote team cooperation, independent personality and right philosophy of life. Secondly, the aims and plans of the training programs were scheduled according to the levels of competitions and carried out according to the daily, weekly and monthly schedules with some modification according to the individual differences. The budget was managed with less expenditure, it is hoped more government support and sponsors providing training facilities and finances for wrestlers to train overseas to improve their competitive capacities. Thirdly, the relationship between coaches and wrestlers need to be clearly defined with their personal and professional relationship. It is desirable to maintain the relationship between coaches and wrestlers as teachers and friends to improve the management and communication. Key words: wrestling coach, the leadership behavior
