Summary: | 博士 === 中國文化大學 === 地學研究所 === 95 === This study investigates factors affecting the choice of a site for the health and fitness club in Kaohsiung, and provides a site selection model with which decision makers can evaluate their investments in sites. Traditional decision making has depended on personal knowledge, experience judgment, checklist method, analog approach, or regression models. These methods provide systematic steps for site selection; however, they fail to consider correlations among the factors.
According to the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) of the Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM), literature review, and consultation with industry experts, scholars and government officers, the researcher created and weighted evaluation rules, and established a decision model for the selection of the site for a health and fitness club in Kaohsiung. The researcher also used Fuzzy Weighted Aggregation so that the site selection model can use the optimization technique to locate a better site. The research applies this model to evaluate and rank health and fitness clubs in Kaohsiung, and evaluate the sites of two newly-established health and fitness clubs.
