Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 營建工程系 === 95 === An electroosmotic chemical cell is developed to investigate the factors affecting electroosmosis chemical hardening behavior and to study the mechanism between soil and chemical solution in a stable electric field. A series of laboratory tests on grouting calcium chloride (CaCl2) into kaoline from anode by gravity is performed. Then, by treating the different concentration and volume of calcium chloride, an investigation on the soil improvement effectiveness was performed.
The result of this study indicates that calcium chloride solution is like one kind of electrolyte and able to increase the soil conductivity and the rate of electroosmotic drainage. Although the soil improvement strength and area are increased with the concentration and volume of calcium chloride, the productive rate and thickness of deposition in cathode zone also increase with them and make the path of electroosmotic drainage clogged easily. Then, the pore water can not be drained out of the soil sample and can only be accumulated in cathode zone. The water content near cathode zone is very high, which makes the improvement strength of cathode zone does not increase at all.
