Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 營建工程系 === 95 === In this research, 4 sets of large scale encased steel column specimens were tested under cyclic load to investigate the function of corner stirrup and the cyclic behavior of the columns under biaxial bending. All the specimens were with transverse beams to simulate the condition of interior column. According to the test results, conclusions can be made as follows: (1) The corner stirrups shows the function of preventing longitudinal steels bars from buckling as expected; (2) Column sections with deeper H shape possessed better energy dissipation capacity, but did not show the benefit of higher bending strength; (3) Number of steel bars at column corner had significant effect of biaxial bending strength of the columns; (4) The deformability and ductility of encased steel columns in the 45o direction is very good when axial force is absent.
