Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 機械工程系 === 95 === The purpose of this study was to form black yttrium-stabilized zirconia (ZrO2-5.4wt%Y2O3, YSZ) by doping various oxides, including aluminum oxide, manganese oxide, cobalt oxide, and ferric oxide, of various quantities into YSZ, while maintaining original mechanical property of YSZ. The results showed that doping of the oxides into YSZ slightly reduced the relative density of the sintered compact, but the density could still be maintained higher than 95% theoretical density of YSZ. The relative distribution homogeneity of the color centers and the hardness of sintered compact were strongly determined by the doping quantity of aluminum oxide. Although oxides of low concentrations were found to diffuse into the lattice of YSZ, the mechanical properties of black YSZ were not greatly deteriorated and were very close to those of undoped YSZ. Based on all the compositional range investigated in this study, YSZ - 1wt%Al2O3 - 1.5wt%MnO2 - 0.5wt%CoO - 1wt%Fe2O3 was found to the most suitable for blackening the YSZ.
