A wideband embedded antenna consisting of meander-line structure and an open slot is proposed for DVB applications in the 470-860 MHz frequency range. The antenna is fitted to the housing of DVB and has the size of 60×10×12 mm.
This DVB antenna has a broad operating bandwidth and it is easy to fabricate. Effects of varying the meandering structure on the antenna performance are studied. The experimental results are presented to illustrate the characteristics of DVB antennas.
