Even the Wireless ISP build a lot of WLAN infrastructure, they still need to face how to satisfy consumers’ demand of using the WLAN, and the WLAN still has some limitation on application development.
Taiwan promoted M-Taiwan project since 2005. The project mainly hope to use wireless and mobile communication technology, to build up and construct an omnipresent network living environment, and hope to stimulate innovating the application service through market demand at the same time. To drive the development of the communication industry and Mobile Application service industry.
This paper adopts qualitative research approach, depend on study paper, and industry's materials compile as the structure of analysing, and deepen interview experts and scholars by way of the industry analyses and case study. This paper hope to analyse the case of “ M-Taiwan Application Promotion Project “, and find out the difficulty of PWLAN application development in Taiwan, and the possibility of introducing the innovative technology and enterprises of stepping industrial integration. The paper will provide the suggestion about “ M-Taiwan Application Promotion Project “ development in the future.
Drive tendency with face challenge that make the transition, this research through analyse “ M-Taiwan Application Promotion Project “ case to propose suggestion about future operation direction. The research range focus on the most ardent case of “the Mobile Streaming Service “ and “ the Mobile Care Service “ under the environment of basic construction and development of ' the PWLAN . Main research purpose and research conclusion are as follows:
I analyze the business model of Mobile Streaming Service and Mobile Care Service case, and figure out the critical successful factor about launch this service, include the standard of the mobile terminal equipment, maturity of the infrastructure, material of digital content and representation, WiMAX commercial launch schedule and information security and so on. The team can promote the execution of the Mobile Application of this case smoothly. It can reach the anticipated income and customer's satisfaction when the commerce try to operate in the future.
I analyse the innovative M-Taiwan case, and offer other project participants some suggestions. For example: Advise the government to promote “M-Taiwan Application Promotion Project” with relevant supplementary measures, service platform future operation model of Mobile Application, Mobile Streaming Service and Mobile Care Service industry will need the company offer professional service, different industry cooperative way bring success to telecommunication market leader the advantage of combining in one pair of 3G/3.5G and WiMAX/WiFi service will promote popularization of Mobile Application service.
