However, many enterprises only regard PLM system as a paperless information tool. Therefore, this study puts forward that PLM should coordinate with performance measurement method to design PLM system as an information tool that drives the performance of research and development and achieves the strategies of the enterprises. This study has adopted case studies. Five electronic manufacturing companies in Taiwan with cooperative relationship have been selected. Based on the concept of Balanced Scorecard and PLM point of view, focus on the management difficulties of the case-study companies, find out the solutions from the relevant literatures and expertises, PLM Strategic Map and PLM Balanced Scorecard for product collaborative development of electronic industry is established. There are four purposes for this study: 1. Find out the management difficulties of the cases to be studied on product development via interviews. 2. Based on the Balanced Scorecard, the view of PLM is adopted to find out the strategies of the cases to be studied. 3. The strategic map of electronic industry is established. 4. The PLM Balanced Scorecard of electronic industry is established. It is expected that the result of this study can be the reference of the enterprises on integrating and maintaining PLM system.
