Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 應用媒體藝術研究所 === 95 === Growing up in a rural Hakka community, Professor Ho, Hong-Hsiung has been bold in taking up new challenges. By way of self-examination and self-breakthrough, Ho has adapted well to the age of technical renovation. Ho’s versatility and enthusiasm make him a great artist and an ardent educator. He has played an important role in educating sculptors of the younger generation and passing down the art of sculpture in Taiwan. This work is presented in the form of a documentary through subjective narrative and interviews. In order to record Ho’s memoirs and his life after retirement authentically, a skill of off-scene sound emphasizing the authenticity of realistic photography is used in this documentary. The documentary“Son of Mother Nature”not only reflects Ho’s philosophy of life and his creation medium and thinking, but portrays the most genuine part of the Taiwan sculpture master- Ho, Hong-Hsiung.
