Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 電子工程學研究所 === 95 === In order to let service provider obtain best solution to “last mile” problem, Standard IEEE 802.16 is established. Utilizing the facility of wireless communication, only a transceiver for IEEE 802.16 subscriber/mobile station is needed and all users can enjoy the convenience of broadband wireless access without the need of setting up ADSL or cable modem.
This thesis designs for a baseband receiver for IEEE 802.16e-2005 OFDMA mode subscriber/mobile station, and can be operated in both static and dynamic environment. The transmitter, baseband channel model, and receiver are written by C code, and the receiver part is further implemented by fixed-point C code. Algorithms and circuit implementation for cell search, timing and frequency synchronization, carrier frequency offset(CFO)/ sampling clock offset(SCO) estimation and compensation, channel estimation and inter-carrier-interference(ICI) cancellation are all embedded in the receiver architecture. Besides, this thesis proposes a cell search algorithm specified for IEEE 802.16 OFDMA mode and also a low-computation, low hardware cost ICI cancellation equalizer. They are adopted in the proposed reciever.
Finally, the simulation results under different channel model shows that the proposed receiver can combat multi-path Rayleigh fading, Doppler effect in high mobility, CFO and SCO effect, and recover the data successfully
