碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 兒童文學研究所 === 95 === Abstract Entering the 21th, not only the life pace is moving faster, but the speed of the book market publication is getting faster. Under the circumstance, the market of children’s books shows the phenomenon such as international connection, multiple topics, category blurring and etc. The phenomenon focuses on the history development but the editors are the key role because they play the creator of the book, procedure controller and coordinator. And, the editors have to encounter many problems such as facing the director of the publisher, system department, caring about the book distribution and educating the newer to do the good and best-selling books. First of all, the research has the history overview of the publication, and observes the phenomena of the publishing of children’s book from 2000 to 2006 according the book investigation report, distribution and the recommend book list from newspapers and book list from academic department. Then, the data were organized about the publishing procedures of books and discussed the editor’s roles. The research found that the editor is even more important than the managing editor after the world entering the post-modern society with kinds of book categories. In the case, the ability and flavor of editors, the institution of publishers are become the important elements for publishing good books.
