台東縣高中職圖書館使用現況之研究

碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 教育研究所 === 95 === Abstract A Library is a treasure house, an organization which collects information, organized for use and to keep human’s mentalities and behaviors. A Library has the most collectible human knowledge; which also provides culture heritages, information for researches and educated the public. For those public, private and profession high schools in Taidong, has recently cooperated with Board of Education who had announced the basic operation of a library for improving its function and services. The subject of this research is to understand the present situation of library’s operation of Taidong’s high schools and professional high schools. Using surveys as the main tool, this research includes chief librarians, teachers and students from eight schools. Using group survey for students, individual survey for teachers, assisted with interview of librarians for making this survey tend to reach perfection. Based on the result of this research which will lead us to the conclusion and suggestion which can be refer to related units. The following results are based on the analysis from this research: 一、 Teachers’ agreement to apply on the using of libraries for students of high schools and professional high schools is very important; it will also improve students’ learning ability. 二、 There are 26% of teachers who never use libraries. For those teachers who often use libraries, their satisfaction tends to be positive and affirmative. Teachers who teach language and literature and teachers in special professional fields often use sources from libraries for their teaching. 三、 There are 26.9% of students who never use libraries. The satisfaction of students who often use a library, tend to be positive and affirmative. Their satisfactions surveys of using a library are as following: the highest will be a good librarian (average 2.9196), then the collections (average 2.8883), the facilities (average 2.8669). 四、 The most unsatisfied for a student to use a library is those uncomfortable tables and chairs in the reading room, the unfriendly librarian, and the acceptance of suggestions that raised by a reader. 五、 Chief librarians think that lack of manpower and expenses will strongly affect the improvement and service qualities of a library. 六、 Public schools are more suitable to establish and basic operation of a library. Private schools are not suitable to establish and basic operation of a library because the lack of books, Personnel organization and space.
