Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 企業管理學系 === 95 === Since 2005, the total sales has began decline in the automobile industry. Many companies retrenched personnel cost by downsizing. Downsizing is always seen a way to retrench operation cost and improve organizational performance. But in the past, many researches pointed out the downsizing can not arrive at their target which they expected before. And the downsizing activities always impact the survivors. Downsizing reflects job insecurity to survivors, and affects employees’ morale and confidence about corporation. After that it affected employees’ essential effort and dedication. Finally, it affected corporation’s core competence.
Such as Ford, Volkswagen, Toyota and so on, many international corporations had business reengineering by downsizing. This research asked the employees who confronted downsizing in the domestic automobile companies, then survey their perception and cognition about the downsizing plans, and survey the effect on their work attitudes and behavior. Here are the main finding (discoveries) of the researchas follows:
一、Locus of control has significant influence to job satisfaction、job involvement and turnover intention.
二、Personal backgrounds have some differences on job satisfaction、job involvement and turnover intention.
三、The ways of the downsizing significant differences on job insecurity、job satisfaction、job involvement and turnover intention.
四、Job insecurity has significant influence to job satisfaction、job involvement and turnover intention.
五、Job insecurity has an intermediate effect or an interactive effect between locus of control and job satisfaction、job involvement and turnover intention.
