Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 藝術與藝術教育學系碩士班 === 95 === This thesis aims to discuss the integration of the community culture resources into the primary school’s arts and humanities curriculum design. The objectives of the integration are as follows: to foster primary school students’ understanding and affection for their own living environment and community culture, to implement the connotations of arts and humanities curriculum, to reinforce students’ abilities to understand, appreciate and perform their local culture. The theoretical frameworks of this thesis include: the spirit of post-modernism arts education theory and community-oriented arts education etc. A case study which was based on an arts curriculum, making use of the Taoyuan City’s culture resources, had been carried out. The thesis, therefore, has achieved the following goals:
1. To inquire into the theoretical basis for community-oriented curriculum design.
2. To inquire into the theories for integration of community culture resources into the arts and humanities curriculum design.
3. To complete the integration of Taoyuan City’s community culture resources into the arts curriculum design.
A primary school arts curriculum, aiming at Grade 5th and Grade 6th students, integrated with local culture resources was designed. It was based on data analysis, field surveys, interviews and specialists’ consultation. A number of conclusions had been drawn from the study:
1. Community departmentalism arts curriculum design
(1) The post modernism places great emphasis on the respect to the multi- culturalism. It helps students to respect different cultures and backgrounds.
(2) Students are able to achieve the educational goals of building a sound character as well as living an more artistic live style through the integrated learning activities based on “multi-cultural education” and “community education theory”.
2. The integration of culture resources into curriculum
(1) To collect and examine Taoyuan City’s culture resources. The data is used as the connotations of the integrated curriculum.
(2) To arrange and analyze Taoyuan City’s community culture resources. The data is used as the themes for various curriculum designs.
3. To integrate of Taoyuan City’s community culture resources into the arts curriculum design.
(1) To survey current needs for arts education. The results are used as the reference for designing the curriculum.
(2) The students are able to achieve their learning goals more effectively through systematic and progressive activities which integrate with local resources.
