It will also help develop information literary and professional growth of visual art teachers of elementary school. And, it will come out suggestion from measuring performance varieties of information literary and professional growth of visual art teachers with varied characteristics. These suggestions are provided as references for education authorities, teachers and future researchers. The framework of this research is based on the analysis of literature on this subject. The research targets are visual art teachers of elementary schools in Taipei County. The method adopted in this research is to survey the targets by “Information literary quantitative form for visual art teacher of elementary school” and “Professional growth quantitative form for visual art teacher of elementary school”. After the analysis of the survey, this research will figure out current state of information literary and professional growth of the targets and investigate the correlation between them. The objective of this research includes: 1. Develop the information literary of visual art teachers of elementary school. 2. Investigate the current information literary state of visual art teachers of elementary school. 3. Develop the professional growth of visual art teachers of elementary school. 4. Investigate the current professional growth state of visual art teachers of elementary school. 5. Survey the correlation between information literary and professional growth of visual art teachers of elementary school. After the survey of relative literature and the analysis of questionnaires, the conclusions are as following: 1. The IT skill and professional growth of visual art teachers of elementary are good but not excellent. 2. Obvious discrepancy exists in the aspect of information literary in the varieties of sex, age, highest education and major of visual art teachers of elementary school. 3. Obvious discrepancy exists in the aspect of professional growth in the varieties of age, highest education, major, seniority and position of visual art teachers of elementary school. 4. There is correlation between information literary and professional growth of visual art teachers of elementary school. Those visual art teachers getting higher grade in information literary questionnaire perform well in professional growth survey. The following suggestions are provided based on the result of this research: 1. The education authorities should provide more information literary equipments to promote the information literary of visual art teachers. 2. The education authorities should set up critical information literary item list for visual art teachers. 3. The education authorities should increase courses to improve professional cognition of visual art teachers.s 4. The school authorities should give courses about the information applications for encourage visual art teachers to adopt information literary in their teaching. 5. The schools authorities should help build up study and growth groups to encourage the communications among teachers.
