There are two purposes of the study. The first one is to integrate all the resources in the school, build a good teaching situation, and create a more suitable Invitational Chinese Learning Environment for efficient teaching and learning. The other one is to devise the teaching tactics which accord with the spirit of Invitational Education, and further to facilitate the teacher's teaching and motivate students' learning. The study combines theories and practice. It is a teacher's action research on the daily teaching in a Chinese class from November of 2006 to May of 2007. The subjects are the 8th graders in junior high school in Taipei which the researcher servers in now. All the data comes from field notes, classroom the researcher's observations, students' journals, portfolios, and questionnaires, interviews with students, and peer researchers' classroom observations and interviews. The results show that to build the “Invitational Chinese Learning Environment” would see positive effects in promoting students’ motivation in learning and making students take the initiative to learn.
