Summary:碩士 === 國立臺北教育大學 === 教育政策與管理研究所 === 95 === The purpose of this research is to explore the necessity, feasibility, essence, and principals of moral leadership, and the reasons for its practice, as well as to understand the problems and find the solutions. The methods used in this research are document analysis and survey. A Total of 520 copies of survey forms are handed out, of which 423 are collected, 407 copies are valid. The availability rate is 78.27%. This research is also to understand the current situation of moral leadership in elementary schools, and to provide a few suggestions for practicing or improving principals’ moral leadership according to the results of the research. The results of the research are listed below: A. The moral leadership of elementary school principals is necessary and feasible. B. The essence of the moral leadership is to value human relationships and to understand and respect people. C. The main reason for moral leadership is to establish administration ethics and to genuinely convince school staff of the ideas behind the decisions. D. The most important principal is to treat school staff sincerely instead of pressing them with power. E. The substantial method of moral leadership is to handle school affairs with justice and not be in favor of anyone. F. The problems the principals often face are the pressure from inside and outside of the school and the different ideas about moral leadership between them and school staff. G. The solution is to team everyone together against counter-productive Pressure, to create an excellent school environment, and to establish school ethics for environmental education. H. The principals and the teachers are very satisfied with the moral leadership of their schools. Finally, according to the results, the research provides some suggestions listed below: A. Suggestions for educational administration organizations: a.Use moral leadership as an important indicator when selecting principals. b.Establish an excellent educational environment and avoid political intervention. c. Reinforce the concept of moral leadership and its effect. d. Make a supporting policy and substantiate the moral leadership. B. Suggestions for principals: a.The moral leadership of elementary school principals is necessary and feasible. b.Principals should establish an excellent school ethical environment. c.Principals should be caring and manage schools humanely. d.Principals should make a substantial policy to substantiate the moral leadership. e.Principals should know how to fully use social resources. f. Principals should be role models for the schools. g.The moral leadership should be extended to caring and responsibility for the community. C. Suggestions for future research: a.The scope of the research should be deepened and broadened. b.The subject group of the research can be enlarged. c.The method of the research should value both quality and quantity. d.The content of the research should be explored in more detail.
