The research method employed in this study is In-depth interview. First, research the citizens’ recognition of those steles with carved, inscriptions regading,difficulty, reliablility,and the stele’s site and design. Next compare Taipei Historical Documents Committee with the citizens’ opinions about their expectations and the construction process. According to the major findings by this study provide suggestions in three areas. 1. Suggestions to cultural administrators: (1)Attach importance to popularize local geography and history. (2)Add a budget to keep in good repair, those former sites of inscription. 2. Suggestions to universities and the schools (1)Develop a local geography-history curriculum and make this curriculum functional for those former sites of inscription. (2)Cooperate with non-governmental circles to set up a local history education center for those former sites of inscription. 3.
