The participants of this study were 5 to 6-year-old children. Four cartoons were used as materials including “the Pink Panther”, “Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck”, “Tom and Jerry”, and “Crayon Xiao-xin”. This study contains three parts. The first part of this study aimed at analyzing the texts and contents of these cartoons. By examining the literature and the contents of these cartoons, we redefined and found 11 types of humor skills in these cartoons. Moreover, the humor skills used in cartoon contain three types, including the humor type with only one humor skill in a scrap, the humor type with double humor skills in a scrap, and the humor type with triple humor skills in a scrap. The second part of this study focused on observing children’s humor appreciation responses. We designed a checklist of children’s humor appreciation responses to rate children’s behaviors of laughing. We analyzed the collected data with two-way ANOVA. The third part of this study was to let children draw the funniest part of these cartoons after watching them. The findings were as follows: 1. The 11 humor skills in cartoons include “exaggeration”, “mimicry”, “embarrassment”, “illogicalness”, “context mislead”, “baseness”, “incapability”, “novelty”, “concreteness”, “repetition”, and “verbalization”. Among these skills, exaggeration showed the highest frequency of occurrence. 2. For the humor type with only one humor skill, “exaggeration” has the highest frequency of occurrence. As for the humor type with double humor skill, “exaggeration and incapability” were the set that has the highest frequency of occurrence. The humor type with triple humor skills is not within our discussion because of the unrepresentative data. 3. The types of humor and sexual showed the interaction effect with the humor reaction of child. The main effect of the sexual in any humor types, ‘illogicalness”, “incapability”, “embarrassment”, “illogicalness and embarrassment”, “illogicalness and incapability”, “incapability and exaggeration” and “embarrassment”, were significant (p<.0042). Besides, the reaction of boys is better than girls. In humor type of the sexual condition, no matter boys or girls get to the significant. The posteriori comparisons, it appeared significant on the types of “illogicalness and embarrassment” and “illogicalness and incapability” that compared with other humor types of boys. It could also appear that boys like these two types of humor. In this study, girls had no clear differences to any types of humor. 陳學志 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 120 zh-TW |
