Studies on the tissue accumulation and elimination of Epinephelus coioides at the different salinities and lead concentrations

Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 環境生物與漁業科學學系 === 95 === Studied the lead tissue accumulation on tissue of Epinephelus coioides exposed to different salinity (6, 20 and 34 psu), ambient lead concentration (0, 1, 5 and 10 ppm) and time period (0, 1, 2, 5 and 10 days). And studied lead elimination rate administered via the caudal vein of Epinephelus coioides . Concentration of lead in the tissues increased with increasing ambient lead concentration and exposure time. Exposure to 10 ppm lead and 6 psu, lead concentrations are measured in gill (35.9 μg/g ww), liver(4.06 μg/g ww), bowel(7.29 μg/g ww), kidney(33.01 μg/g ww), muscle(0.25 μg/g ww) and bone(2.44 μg/g ww) after 5 days. Exposure to 10 ppm lead and 20 psu, lead concentrations are measured in gill (91.65 μg/g ww), liver(3.03 μg/g ww), bowel(3.76 μg/g ww), kidney(37.11 μg/g ww), muscle(0.26 μg/g ww) and bone(1.60 μg/g ww) after 5 days. Exposure to 10 ppm lead and 34 psu, lead concentrations are measured in gill (66.87 μg/g ww), liver(3.65 μg/g ww), bowel(8.88 μg/g ww), kidney(54.83 μg/g ww), muscle(0.26 μg/g ww) and bone(2.39 μg/g ww) after 5 days. Tissue accumulation rank from high to low are gill, kidney, bowel, liver, bone and muscle at all salinity. Retention of lead are measured in gill, kidney and bone only. Retention of lead. decreased with depuration time in all tissues. Lead concentrations are measured in gill (1.53 μg/g ww), kidney (345.17 μg/g ww) and bone (1.02 μg/g ww) after 5 days depuration and 6 psu. Lead concentrations are measured in gill (0.81 μg/g ww), kidney (332.99 μg/g ww) and bone (1.75 μg/g ww) after 5 days depuration and 20 psu. Lead concentrations are measured in gill (1.64 μg/g ww), kidney (225.80 μg/g ww) and bone (3.01 μg/g ww) after 5 days depuration and 34 psu.
