First, the dynamic model of the plant is established. Dynamic analysis includes two methods that frequency domain analysis and time domain simulations. Based on the model, the frequency domain analysis is to analyze eigenvalue and eigenvector of system. Time domain simulations are to find transient response of the thermal plant that the short fault of transmission lines or tripping of generators. The research of improved dynamic stability aims to tune of excitation system parameters Conclusions of this thesis proof that each electromechanical oscillation mode is stable. The dynamic performance is improved after tuning of excitation system parameters.
