Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 系統工程暨造船學系 === 95 === The purpose of this thesis is compute the flow field of a rudder in the propeller wake. The viscous flow RANS method is used for the computations, and the body force is used to replace the effect of a propeller. The interactions between the propeller and the rudder is then simulated through iterations. By using this approach, the complicated phenomena between the rudder and the propeller can be described, and the computational time can be reduced dramatically comparing to compute the full system. The computations are carried out through a parallelized procedure; therefore, the computational time is furthermore reduced. Computational results show reasonable trend comparing to the experimental data, and the influences of the viscosity and the vertical effect are investigated. This computational procedure, due to its computational efficiency, can be further developed for the rudder designs.
