Therefore, each nation and each city deeply respect and concern the affections and positon of their own foreigning trading ports in international containerization operations. Taiwan is a maritime country. The development of trading ports is considered as the presentation of Taiwan’s national power, hence we shall realize the current Taiwan’s national competition by researching into the competition of important ports in Taiwan. We shall apply CCR, a study model of Data Envelopment Analysis, and FMODEA , Fuzzy Multiple Objective DEA, models to analyze the relative performance of twenty international containerization ports in Asia region. The number of container berths, the length of berth, the number of cranes, terminal aera, the quantity of tugs, and the capacity of container yard (TEU) are selected to be input variables; meanwhile, the quantity of loading and unloading containers is selected to be the output variable. According to the TEUs handled of international ports in Asia region, the front twenty ports listed in Containerization International Yearbook (2004) in order are selected to be the DMUs to be evaluated. We shall realize the competiton advantage of Taiwan in Asia region by researching into relative efficiency of these twenty ports via CCR and FMODEA models. From the results of CCR and FMODEA study, most results in these two models are similar. In CCR model, ten ports are evaluated to be efficient, hence there is unclear distinguishability in CCR model. For the reason, we apply the FMODEA model, which have better discrimination. Our study reveals that the result of FMODEA has better discrimination than CCR model.
