Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺灣海洋大學 === 航運管理學系 === 95 === The purpose of this work is to explore the association between SME owners’ environmental perception and their HRM investment. This study borrowed the concept of Strategic Reference Point (SRP) to identify SME owners’ environmental perception and used Strategic Human Resources Management (SHRM) orientation as proxy of HRM investment. Since inertia of HRM change and organizational control system may have potential effect on HRM investment, these two scenarios were included in this study as moderating variables.
This research conducted general survey to collect data from ocean and shipping industry. 680 qualified companies were invited to join this study, and 179 of them completed the questionnaires. 6 of the questionnaires were dropt due to too much missing data, and 173 questionnaires were available for data analysis, which yielded a 26.32% response rate. Hierarchical regression analysis and correlation analysis were adopted to conduct data analysis.
The result of this study is as follows:
1.External SRP orientation is positive related to higher HRM investment, i.e. the HRM of the company would be more SHRM oriented.
2.Long term SRP orientation is positive related to higher HRM investment, i.e. the HRM of the company would be more SHRM oriented.
3.Inertia of company’s HRM change would moderate the association between External SRP orientation and SHRM orientation.
