However, could the current situation of Kaohsiung City align these research studies? What is the relation between these two elements? What is the relationship between the leadership of a principal, teachers’ stress at work and the efficiency of a school? And, could the leadership of a principal and the stress of a teacher predict the efficiency of a school? This study is based on questionnaires “The Relation between the Leadership of a Principal, Teachers’ Stress at work and the Efficiency of a School in Kaohsiung City “ to investigate above issues. 600 teachers from Kaohsiung municipal elementary schools were stratified ratio randomly sampled as research subjects where retrieved 549 valid copies. SPSS statistics software was employed to process all the data and received mean, standard deviation, one-way ANOVA and Pearson’s product-moment correlation for further analysis. Conclusions as following: 1. In Kaohsiung City, elementary school teachers perceive good feeling to the leadership of principals. 2. In Kaohsiung City, elementary school teachers “occasionally” feel the pressure of work, which is not as often as previous research cited. 3. In Kaohsiung City, elementary school teachers perceive good feeling to the efficiency of a school. 4. In Kaohsiung City, the awareness of the leadership of principals and the efficiency of a school among male elementary school teachers is stronger than female teachers. However, to the awareness of the pressure of work, female teachers are stronger than male teachers. 5. In Kaohsiung City, the elementary school teachers, in the group of over 51years old, have the strongest awareness of the leadership of principals and the efficiency of a school, but have slight awareness of the pressure at work. 6. In Kaohsiung City, the elementary school teachers, serving over 21years, have the strongest awareness of the leadership of principals and the efficiency of a school, but the new teachers aware the pressure at work most. 7. In Kaohsiung City, the levels of education of the elementary school teachers and the scale of a school do not severely affect the leadership of a principal, the stress of a teacher, and the efficiency of a school. 8. In Kaohsiung City, the elementary school teachers who perceived college level degree have the strongest awareness to the leadership of a principal and the pressure of work. 9. In Kaohsiung City, the elementary school teachers who pluralize the position of directors have the strongest awareness to the leadership of a principal and the efficiency of a school. 10. To the pressure of work, the mentor teachers in the Kaohsiung City elementary school have the strongest awareness in the aspects of the interruption of administration and the violation of education rationale. 11. In Kaohsiung City, the leadership of an elementary principal and the efficiency of a school have positive correlation. However, teachers’ stress at work and the efficiency of a school have negative correlation. 12. In Kaohsiung City, the leadership of an elementary principal and teachers’ stress at work can effectively predict the efficiency of a school. Based on the results, this research gives following research suggestions to the filed of the relation between the leadership of an elementary principal, teachers’ stress at work and the efficiency of a school: 1. Establishing a principal’s transformational leadership, envisioning school’s future, and consolidate the mechanism of well communication between teachers. 2. Eliminating non-teaching administrational work, reducing teachers’ pressure at work, and creating ideal harmonic campus culture. 3. Encouraging female teachers participating and taking administration job. 4. Providing leadership training courses to principals allows integrations of theories and practice. 5. Encouraging research on new style leadership helps principals to gather more new leadership information. 6. Providing vocational education and counseling resources to teachers to reduce teacher’s pressure of work. 7. Enlarging the research area to other districts or entire nation, providing questionnaires to individual participants and enlarging the survey scale to school staff, workers, or parents. 8.More elements can be considered, for example, teacher’s personality, school’s organization structure, and the trend of education reforming. 9. The relation between the leadership of an elementary principal and teachers’ stress at work is rarely studied. More research should be done. 10. By introducing research methods as interview, observation, case study to the following research to conduct deeper discussion enhances the value of results.
