Through interacting investigation and Qualitative Studies will lead to the understanding of how foreign daughters-in-law and Taiwan mothers-in-law mingle with each other. The researcher conducts the survey based on Qualitative Theory, sampling, and Quasi-structure interviewed data. Interviewees are five Taiwanese mothers-in-law whose daughters-in-law are all from South East Asia. Each interview is also being transformed via Theme Analysis into written statements. Results of the survey are as the following: First of all, initial contact – race issue includes languages, cultures, and nationalities differences that totally stand out within their bond of marriage. Thus, these mothers-in-law have gone through communication difficulties and dieting habits and so forth in order to get accustomed to their new family member. Secondly, money issue –The economy is a family important prop, mother-in-law and daughter-in-law both sides regarding the money use, the ownership has a mind to tie the production. Third, between mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law -the existence of the middle person, the son, stands in the way of both parties that causes great challenges for mother and daughter-in-laws. Fourth, different era – Taiwanese mothers-in-law possess similar patriarch authority and is also a well respected figure within their own family. However, their expectation of being looked up to shattered when their sons got married. The norm of in-laws relationship has changed over time. Results of the survey are as the following: First of all, initial contact –the emphasis of equality between both genders has constantly been stressed, patriarchy culture still dominate the major portion of the society we live in. Secondly, relationship between parents and sons triggers the interacting pattern for both mother and daughter-in law. Third, reliability between mother and daughter-in law. Fourth, financial authority may somehow determine how they get along with each other. Fifth, outer circumstances are not the same as the inner world. Sixth, the interaction between Taiwan mothers-in-law and foreign daughters-in-law surrounds complicated role switching situation. As shown on the research, it provides a few suggestions to the related institutions, South East Asian in-laws family members, and future researchers.
