Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 社會科教育學系碩士班 === 95 === The purpose of this study is to understand the current status of librarian’s information cultivation and job satisfaction. The study is compiled by information taken from surveys entitled “National University Librarian Information Cultivation and Job Satisfaction.” The study is based on national librarians who are in Tainan city and county, Kaohsiung city and county, and Pingdong city and county. 164 questionnaires were distributed, and 155 were completed and returned, with a return rate of 94.5%. The data gathered was conducted by the computer software SPSS for Windows, version 10.0. The statistics methods were t-test and oneway ANOVA (Analysis of Variance). The findings of this study are as follows: 1. Librarians of different genders, education grade, and work nature did reach their information cultivation to a certain standard 2. Librarians of marital situations, years of employment, age differences and education backgrounds did not reach their information cultivation to a certain standard 3. Librarians of different years of employment, age differences and work nature did meet their job satisfaction to a certain standard 4. Librarians of different genders, marital situations, education grade and education backgrounds did not meet their job satisfaction to a certain standard 5. The cultivation of information and work satisfaction are related This study has given suggestions as follows: 1. Librarians are encouraged to attend workshops and conferences 2. Librarians should cultivate a teamwork spirit 3. Librarians should maintain positive communication 4. Librarians should build up a positive principal of evaluation
