Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺南大學 === 社會科教育學系碩士班 === 95 === This study mainly discusses elementary teachers’ human right educational attitude, disciplinary behaviors, and their nowadays situations in Tainan City. Different background variables are explored to determine whether they are factors affecting human rights educational attitude and disciplinary behaviors. Besides, the relation of teachers’ human right attitude and disciplinary behaviors is discussed in the end of the study. To achieve the study objective, the research is done with literature review and questionnaire survey. After analyzing literature review and some case examples, the researcher took 605 elementary teachers in Tainan City as the subjects of the study, and used a self-edited “Elementary Teachers’ Human Attitude and Discipline Conduct Questionnaire” as the study tool for conducting survey. Data obtained are analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson product-moment correlation, etc. The following are the findings of the study: 1. Most elementary teachers’ human right attitude is positive. 2. Most elementary teachers’ attitude toward disciplinary behaviors is positive. 3. In the part of teachers’ human right attitude, except “scale of schools,” which has an obvious discrepancy, the others such as “gender,” “age,” “school location,” “professional background,” “seniority,” “position in school,” “whether participating in study programs related to human right education in recent 5 years” do not show obvious differences. 4. In the part of teachers’ disciplinary behaviors, except “gender,” “professional background,” “position in school,” “scale of schools,” which do not have significant effect on teachers’ disciplinary behaviors, the other factors like “age,” “school location,” “seniority,” “whether participating in study programs related to human right education in recent 5 years” reveal evident discrepancies. 5. Positive correlation was found between elementary teachers’ human right attitude and disciplinary behaviors. Based on the above findings, the following recommendations are proposed for the current human right education in Tainan City: 1. Encourage teachers to take part in study programs about human right education. 2. Enhance the promotion of human right education and students’ rights on campus through study programs. 3. Improve collaboration between parents and teachers; through educational promotion, make disciplining students become their mutual responsibility. 4. Add multiple evaluations into human right educational activities. 5. Establish peer collaboration groups to promote human right education and discipline counseling.
