To fulfill the purpose, the data survey collected 728 students of the fourth to sixth grade from 9 elementary school students in mid-Taiwan. Data gathered from the samples were then analyzed through descriptive-Statistics, ANCOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The major findings are listed below: 1. The relationship between shyness and personal variables (1) There is significant difference in shyness among elementary school students of different years of preschool. (2) There is significant difference in shyness arose from people among elementary school students of different gender, parent-child relationship and the years of preschool. 2. There is a significant positive relationship between shyness and irrational beliefs. 3.The irrational beliefs can make a predictability on the shyness.
