| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 土木工程系碩士班 === 95 === This study is to investigate and analyze the habitat of the Tungkang River basin in Pingtung County. Through the method of the data collection and field work mapping will assist the study to meet the purpose of understanding the circumstance of the river by analyzing the major form, materials and structure of the length and breadth cross-section of the river. Hence the result of this study could be a reference for the manager to manage and operate the river. Moreover, the downstream of Kanting section of Tungkang River had became the artificial riverbank wetland, this study will according to this area to investigate the variation of the plantation landscape and sandbank by the affection of the climate since the construction completed. The research revealed that the Tungkang River is a tree-from river where the main stream is straight and smooth in form and show a V shape from the view of the cross-section. The riverbed was form by gravel sand where the water of the river preserves anytime. Since the waterfront construction of Kanting section confront the flood disaster, the artificial island decrease from 9 to 8 and changed the original form, however the area of the sandbank keep on raising and hold the copious organic which attract a lot of birds foraging and improve the ecosystem.
