Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 資訊管理系所 === 95 === How to successfully manage human resource and efficiently achieve business operation is a very important research topic in hospital management. If the manager of a hospital wants to successfully manage human resource, the nurse scheduling problem is a crucial task. The nurse scheduling problem is a combinatorial optimization problem. It is the process of generating timetables which give the duty shifts to nurses over given period of time. In order to obtain the fittest solutions (timetables), in the past, there have numerous approaches regarding nurse scheduling been presented, such as ant system, integer programming model, bacterial evolutionary algorithm, and so forth.
This thesis presents two intelligent algorithms named ASSH (Ant System with Savings Heuristic ) and GALS (Genetic Algorithm with Local Search) to solve the nurse scheduling problem for hospital management. In addition, a M-BEA (Modified Bacterial Evolutionary Algorithm) method is presented for suiting real-life application in nurse scheduling task. According to the simulation results, the proposed methods are very effective and efficient.
