Therefore, from the resource-based perspective, we framed two dimensions including entity resources and the customer base and selected 30 the top largest ports of the TEU in the world to proceed the clustering of strategic groups and performance analysis to discuss four important issues: (1)Relationships between customer base and operation performance of ports; (2)Relationships between entity resources and operation performance of port; (3) Relationships between strategic groups and operation Performance;(4) Relationships between entity resources, customer base resources and performance of strategic groups. In collecting data, we searched for secondary materials from the top largest ports of the TEU in the world in 2005 to classify strategic groups according to the resources items of major ports with the aid of the statistic method such as regression, one-way ANOVA and Scheffe to test the differences among group of ports and then to find out the differences of resources of each of groups as well as the major reasons of port performances and its influences. After analyzing, the result might provide research references for the transportation management related industry and Kaohsiung Port’s development. Lin, Jin-kwan 林晉寬 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 125 zh-TW
