Numerous qualified but not permanently engaged teachers became vicegerent. Therefore, this study was to investigate the training needs of elementary school vicegerent teachers. The study adopted the questionnaire survey method for all the elementary school vicegerent teachers of Pingtung County in 95th school year. The self-made “Questionnaire for Training Needs of Elementary School Vicegerent Teachers” was used for data collecting, and divided into the following four parts: “Individual Background Data”,”Enrollment Needs Scale”, “Curriculum Needs Scale” and one open question. The enrollment needs were based on the ERG theory, and divided into three portions: Existence Needs, Relatedness Needs and Growth Needs. The curriculum needs, based on “Human Capital Investment Project”, included the needs of five curriculum types: Management, Applied Language, Computer-related Course, Society Service, and Finance, and. There were 140 questionnaires delivered, and 132 valid questionnaires returned. The collected data were analyzed by using descriptive statistic, one-sample t-test, independent-samples t-test and One-way ANOVA. The results of this study were summarized as follows: (1) Vicegerent teachers revealed high growth and existence needs on the transfer training. (2) Most of the vicegerent teachers showed positive needs to the transfer training curriculum, and were most interested in Applied Language and Computer-related Course. (3) “Age” was proved to have an influence on’ enrollment needs of vicegerent teachers for the transfer training. (4) The curriculum needs of could be differentiated by “Gender” and “Teacher Categories”. (5) The male vicegerent teachers had no interest in Society Service courses. (6) Those who were over 35 years old, with seniority of service under one year or in a position of English teacher, expressed no distinct needs on Finance courses. Finally, in accordance with the above conclusions, this study provided specific suggestions to the governmental training agency, private training institutes, vicegerent teachers and future researchers. 鄭經文 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 132 zh-TW
