Simple but tight plots written can deeply enlighten people, and are rather suitable for textbooks. In advance, this article sift four editions out and analyze them in the 94th Academic Year, including Ren Lin, Nan Yi, kang Syuan, and Han Lin, in terms of their respective selecting and editing distributions of Mandarin Textbook Fable Materials used in Grade 1-9 Elementary School. After that, we explore the resources of fables selected by different textbook editions. It’s more conveniently to recognize and research it because of classify fables. The classify of fables is helpful to understand fable works. This research classifies fables from life or not of roles in the fables and distributes the resources of fables by personage’s fables, animal’s fables, plant’s fables and other fables four types. Fables must provided with two necessary basic key elements: story(main body)and implied meaning(keynote).The former is the body of fables, the latter is the soul of fables. This research contains to analyze the contents of stories which are select and edit by each editions and explores the implied meaning of fables. This research detect something as follows: 1. These four editions are select and edit six essays of classical Chinese ,and there are five essays are fables. Fable provided with narrative、written within limited capacity but unabridged and it’s suitable as an introduction textbook of classical Chinese. 2. About select the resources of fables, classical fables are chosen more than modern fables. 3. About select and edit types of fable materials, most of these four editions are chose from animal’s fables and personage’s fables. 4. Fable story’s implied meanings some are propaganda morality of the true, the good and the beautiful directly ; some are caution people contrary. Most of these four editions are chose the later.
