Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 音樂學系碩士班 === 95 === Abstract The purpose of this study was to investigate the current situation and the professional commitment of teachers in elementary school music talented education. It also compared the differences among the variables of teacher's backgrounds and discussed the relationship among them. The questionnaire, which was designed by the investigator, was used as an instrument to survey the present situation of musical-talented education and the professional commitment of teachers in elementary school music talented program. The subjects were the teachers of music talented program in elementary school. A total of 141 music teachers completed questionnaires. Descriptive statistical analysis was used to compute the percentage, mean and standard deviation. T-test and a single-factor ANOVA were also performed. Based on the findings of this study, the conclusions were the following: 1. The teachers of music talented program agree with the music talented education, however expect some kind of change. 2. Providing sufficient administrative resources of schools is the important factor to further development in music talented education. 3. Improving the current situation of the music talented education is helpful to enhance the professional commitment of teachers. Finally, the recommendations for the educational administration and follow-up study are suggested.
