Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 教育行政研究所 === 95 === The purpose of this research was to discuss the influence for preschool children’s self-evaluation and achievement motivation about person praise and process praise. It provided the reference for teacher, parents and related personal improving praise feedback quality. The research based on Kamins and Dweck(1999) studying method. We sampled 60 children at random from a private kindergarten in Kaohsiung County. All children were averagely divided into three groups:person, process and control with each 20 people included half of boy and girl. Let children role-play successful task and received different praise according to various groups, then self-evaluation and achievement motivation were measured on a subsequent task involving a setback. We analyzed the obtained data by t-test, one-way ANOVA, one-way MANOVA and Person’s product-moment correlation. The major results of this research were as follow: 1. There is no obvious difference in self-evaluation and achievement motivation between children of different groups. 2.There is no obvious difference in self-evaluation for all children on successful task. 3.Compared with person praise, the self-evaluation of process praise is higher on a subsequent task involving a setback. 4.There is no obvious difference in achievement motivation between person and process praise on a subsequent task involving a setback. 5. The adult gives the process praise possibly enables children to face the setback with the positive manner and mood.
