In recent years, people expect the government with higher service quality and administration efficiency, and the promotion of service quality and administration efficiency depends on the staff's working morale and performance. Therefore, it will be helpful for managers of government to understand the relationship among perception of organizational politics, job involvement and job satisfaction.The purposes of this study are as follows:(1)To examine the differences in perception of organizational politics with government staff of different personal attributes and organizational attributes.(2)To examine how perception of organizational politics influences job involvement and job satisfaction, and how job involvement influences job satisfaction.(3)To provide the results of study to related local government managers for references. Questionnaires survey is the main tool of the proposed research, and penghu county government staff is the main research objects of questionnaires. There were 480 questionnaires sent out, and 392 were returned, the returned rate of valid questionnaires was 81.7%. By using SPSS 12.0 for windows, the data analysis employed in this study includes the descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, t-test, one-way ANOVA, pearson's correlation and regression analysis. The results of this study are as follows:(1)Government staff of different personal attributes (gender, age, degree of education, martial status, tenure and job titles)and organizational attributes have significant differences in part on the perception of organizational politics.(2)Perception of organizational politics has significantly negative effect in part on job involvement.(3)Perception of organizational politics has significantly negative effect in part on job satisfaction.(4)Job involvement has significantly positive effect in part on job satisfaction. Based on the above findings, the study comments on relevant management practice and proposed some suggestions to the local government institutes and the future researchers.
