To achieve the flexibility some production parameters are remained and can be referenced by the production case database. This paper presents product cases of the plastic film as an example. The process referring the parameters using the case-based reasoning is employed to reduce the design duration of new products. The method can search the most similar product by calculating the similarity among the new product and past products. Furthermore, this research uses the Cpk indices for case selection if there are multiple similar cases are selected.
