This study aims to observe and exact the knowledge evolution of community development based on community forestry projects from five well developed communities. The five selected communities had entered the second stage of the community forestry project. Therefore, their well prepared document of community forestry is then analyzed by the content analysis. And explore the difference of knowledge structure between the first and the second stages by drawing knowledge maps. The development evolution is also observed using knowledge management. Results show that communities in the second stage of the project will conduct planning for long-term development. However, human resource development is the most popular work in the first stage of the stage. The knowledge maps represent the investigation in resources is the basis knowledge in the first stage, but teaching and learning is the most important work in the second stage. Furthermore, this study also translates project contents into reusable knowledge based on knowledge management process so as to propose possible strategies for community development.
