The effective data based on the questionnaire were then processed with the statistic software SPSS for 10.0, which offered statistical analyses by using the descriptive statistics, t-test, One-way ANOVA, One-way MANOVA, Scheffé posteriori comparison test and Pearson’s product-moment correlation to stepwise multiple regression analysis. The findings were summarized as follows: I. The present condition of Kaohsiung high school teachers’ spiritual health and well-being was generally fine. II. In terms of spiritual health: 1. Overall spiritual health and its level varied significantly in terms of the subject’s age, faith and the previous experience of taking part in life education courses. 2. Gender, marital status, the number of kid over two the subjects had and teaching years, indeed caused a significant difference in the level of spiritual health but had no significant difference in the overall spiritual health. 3. Different position in school, type of school and heath situations of family member did not play any significant role in the overall spiritual health and its level. III. In terms of well-being: 1. Genders, ages and experiences of participating in life education seminars had a significant difference in overall well-being and its level. 2. Different teaching years, subjects who teach in mathematics, number of kid over two and the health status of family had no significant difference in the overall well-being but contributed to significant difference in its level. 3. Different teaching positions, types of schools, marital status and religious beliefs were not influential factors in well-being. IV. There was a positive correlation between spiritual health and well-being in terms of wholeness and various levels. V. High school teachers’ spiritual health was an indicator of the overall well-being. Whether it was in the aspect of wholeness or level, to be altruistic and philanthropic was an independent factor in predicting well-being. According to the above findings, they could provide the following respective suggestions to teachers, school administrations and social policy makers. Furthermore, these conclusions could be used as a reference for future studies.
