1.Understand the present situation that the teachers’ participation of Web-based Learning community and teachers’ professional development at the junior high schools of remote districts .
2.Understand the difficult position that the teachers’ participation of Web-based Learning community and teachers’ professional development at the junior high schools of remote districts .
3.Understand the attitude that the teachers’ participation of Web-based Learning community.
4.Understand the correlation between teachers’ participation of Web-based Learning community and teachers’ professional development at the junior high schools of remote districts .
5. According to the result of study expect to offer the reference of setting up the Web-based Learning community and handling the research or study for the teachers from remote districts school in the future.
In order to reach above-mentioned purposes, this research adopted “questionnaire investigation method” to the study sampling regarding Kaohsiung and Pingtung countys’ remote teachers of junior high schools. “A study on correlation between teachers’ participation of Web-based Learning community and teachers’ professional development at the junior high schools of remote districts school “ for study tool in order to make up by oneself, and obtain the sample of studying by dividing one floor of random sampling patterns , send out 350 questionnaires altogether, retrieve 289, 280 effective samples, 80% of effective rate of recovery. The collected data was then analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s production-moment correlation and stepwise regression analysis. Sum up this research, the conclusion is as follows:
1.The highest in proportion that the teachers’ participation of Web-based Learning community at the junior high schools of remote districts is the education bureaus’ website for each county and city.
2.The highest proportion of motive of the teachers at the junior high school of remote districts participating in Web-based Learning community is to acquire new information.
3.The junior high school teachers of remote districts think the main difficulty in participating in Web-based Learning community lies in no regular time restriction and that result in unapparent effect.
4.The junior high school teachers of remote districts think the main advantage of participating in Web-based Learning community is unlimited restriction across time and space.
5.The main reason that the junior high school teachers don’t want to participate in Web-based Learning community results from being too busy to invest it.
6.The junior high school teachers of remote districts often carry on the behavior of sharing the resources about teaching or learning in Web-based Learning community.
7.The higher proportion of the spot that the junior high school teachers participate in Web-based Learning community is school.
8.The higher proportion of the discussing frequency of the junior high school teachers of participating in Web-based Learning community is more than seven days.
9.It’s different from the junior high school teachers’ attitudes of remote districts because of the sex, academic, credentials, service seniority and teaching field.
10.It’s different from professional development of the junior high school teachers participating in Web-based Learning community because of the sex and service seniority.
11.The attitudes of the teachers from remote districts have middle and upper degree correlation with their teaching, professional development, which shows there’s a close relation between the both.
12.The junior high school teachers’ attitudes toward participating in Web-based Learning community have strength of predicting for the teachers’ professional development, and “Problem-solving” has the best strength of predicting among them
