A single-subject multiple probe design across subjects was employed in the study. The two participants were provided with a computer-assisted instruction designed by researcher. The independent variable was computer-assisted instruction. The dependent variable was the verbal expressive abilities of the participants. The verbal expressive abilities measured included: the number of verbal vocabulary and complete sentences. The major findings were summarized as followed: 1. The computer-assisted instruction had immediate, maintenance and generalization effects on the number of verbal vocabulary, but the generalization effect between the two participants was not consistent. 2. The computer-assisted instruction had immediate, maintenance and generalization effects on the number of complete sentences, but the generalization effect between the two participants was not consistent.
