Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 成人教育研究所 === 95 === The study aims to understand the influence of community consciousness on community leaders, volunteers, and residents while supporting the community. Based on the Taiwan Healthy Community Six-Star Promotion Program, the study focused on two communities that were used as participants for community appraisal. The evaluating factors include industrial development, social welfare, medical treatment, community security, humanistic education, environmental landscape/ecology, and special or awarded infrastructure activities. It is hoped that the activities organized by volunteers in these two communities can stimulate residents to participate in the community and transform their sense of community. After understanding the change in community leaders, volunteers and residents, the researcher found that various levels of community consciousness were raised in certain arrangements when community support activities were being carried out. The study’s conclusion can be taken as a practical reference. The study used the qualitative method in its analysis of the two communities in Kaohsiung County. Data were collected from field research, in-depth interviews, participating observation field study, and related literature. The steps of analysis included transcribing interviews, reading relevant literature, sorting the information into meaningful units or arguments, working out common subjects and integrating the organization into a structural narration, i.e. try to simplify the system. The conclusions are described as follows: I. Increased community consciousness due to support activities: (a) The development process in A Community located in Yianchao Village started from the admin continuance of Jinshan Elementary School, construction of Pedestrian Paths in Zhuliao and Jiguanshan, visiting senior adults, day care for senior citizens and after-school classes for students. (b) The development process in B Community located in Dashu Village started with environmental improvements, security enhancements, counseling classes for foreign spouses, visiting senior citizens, day care for senior citizens and after-school classes for students. II. Transformed community consciousness of volunteers: (a) A Community: from after-school classes for students to landscape infrastructure. (b) B Community: from landscape infrastructure to after-school classes for students and counseling classes for foreign spouses. III. Transforming the relationship between community infrastructure and consciousness: (a) A Community: residents attempt agree on the idea of developing a tourist attraction. (b) B Community: from caring for the environment to residents that take care of residents who need to be taken care of. Proposals: I. To residents (a) Participating in activities or educational courses that raise community consciousness is the responsibility and obligation of all residents. (b) Transforming community consciousness from passive participants to active organizers. (c) Actively taking care of senior citizens in the day. II. To community (a) Integrating manpower and resources to promote activities in order to raise the community consciousness. (b) Developing group learning by combining various learning institutes in order to establish an E-learning network. III. To personnel who are in charge of community development (a) Avoid having just regular participants who come often and invite other residents to attend the activities. (b) Create a human resource network, so that residents who are interested in organizing activities can learn how to take action.
