The purposes as follows, 1. To understand the situation and differences of retirement planning, life adaptation and life satisfaction of the junior high school retiring teachers. 2. To examine the correlation of retirement plans, life adaptation and life satisfaction of the junior high retiring teachers 3. To analyze and to predict the circumstance of retirement plan to life adaptation and life satisfaction 4. To sum up all the research results and to offer practical suggestions to the retiring teachers and the authorities for reference Questionnaire Survey Research was adopted in this study aimed at 605 retiring teachers who all received questionnaires. Of 605 questionnaires distributed, 468 were considered effective. After analyzing them with the methods of independent-samples T-test, one-way ANOVA and One-way MANOVA, Pearson correlation, stepwise multiple regression analysis and so on, the conclusions discovered were as the following findings: 1. The active degree of the teachers on retirement planning is above the level. 2. Most of the retiring teachers have a high level on life adaptation. Of all the levels, especially, health maintenance is the best. 3. Life satisfaction of the retiring teachers displays a high level, especially the level of daily activities is the highest, 4. Teachers at the age of below 55 in good conditions of health and wealth intend to the retirement plans on finance. 5. Teachers in good conditions of health and being married with the spouse alive got a total high level of life satisfaction and others. 6. The retiring teachers in good conditions of health and wealth got a total high level of life satisfaction. 7. Different retiring plans will affect their life adaptation; the more active they are, the higher the level of life adaptation will be. 8. Different retiring plans will affect the life satisfaction; the more active they are, the higher the level of life satisfaction will be. 9. It shows the significantly positive correlation between life adaptation and life satisfaction. 10. It shows the significantly positive correlation between retiring plans and life satisfaction. 11. The life adaptation could be predicted effectively by observing their leisure entertainment and living arrangement, especially leisure entertainment. 12. The life satisfaction could be predicted effectively by observing their leisure entertainment, living arrangement, financial plans and social participation, especially leisure entertainment. According to the conclusions made above, some suggestions are recommended in this study as follows, I. Suggestions to the retiring teachers A. Keep in good health positively, and by doing that to promote life adaptation and life satisfaction B. Construct correct retiring concepts and make the retiring plan earlier. C. Join the leisure entertainment positively to promote self- actualization and life satisfaction. II. Suggestions to the authorities associated A. School should emphasize on educating the retiring teachers with the retiring plans and offer life consultation properly. B. Encourage retiring teachers to join in the leisure entertainment and other activities positively to make retiring life more joyful and content. C. Establish regional service centers for retiring teachers and help and care retiring teachers in need.
