There are different country cultural people gathered in the organization. In Western social contexts、people is individualism. Eastern’s traditional cultural values affect you and me.The topic of different country’s cultural work values in human resource management is more important than before、and it will be the key point to success for business management. The purpose of this study is to examine work values and job preference of the college students. The paper adopts Chinese work values scale developed by Wong and Chung(2003)and Yang’s job preference scale(2002). Participants in this study for the questionnaire survey are the college students in Southern of Taiwan. They major in Electronic engineering、Electrical engineering、Chemical engineering and Material project. There were 250 questionnaires sent out to the respondents. There were 236 copies recalled. And there were a total of 192 valid responses. This study is to explore the relationship between work values and job preference in the approach of Canonical Correlation Analysis、and examine work values to job preference through Regression Analysis. The students who enrolled in a technological college in Southern of Taiwan in this study; the survey adopts the convenience sampling methodology. In this study、we find that the dimension of Confucian work dynamism in Chinese work values is not significant to these students. There is correlation between work values and job preference、and people who have different work values have different job choice preference.
