碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 性別教育研究所 === 95 === “Is it a blessing or a curse towards teenage girl’s pregnancy?” The incident of teenage girls’ pregnancy has shown the inequality of sex distinction. Girls are forced to make decision under tremendous time pressure. There is not much space left for them to take second thoughts or to think it over again. Every step of decision making is a race with the time. It is to them a crucial crossroad in life facing social pressure and under maturation from both physiologically and psychologically. It can be easily imagine their torture and suffer. Nevertheless, the professional assistance and support they can rely on is significance to them to untie the devil’s spell. Base on above, this research would like to set out on the experience of unexpected pregnancy and birth-giving teenage girls and through individual interviews provided by welfare services staff, we understand the dilemma that the girls have to face and their assistance seeking experience. The focus also lies on the actual demand and current welfare providing system to the girls in order to characterize assistance seeking experience of unexpected pregnancy of teenage girls’ and the demand for their welfare in Kaohsiung area.
