Compared to traditional periodic inventory model, the effects of VMI in reducing inventory could be dependent on the variation of market demand. We implemented a supply chain structure with AutoMod simulation to study the effects of VMI on inventory control with respect to the traditional periodic inventory model. The market demand pattern followed the product life cycle (PLC) diffusion model proposed by Easingwood (1998). Results showed that VMI reduces more inventory costs as market demand pattern changes more severely. Kune-Muh Tsai 蔡坤穆 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 149 zh-TW
