This thesis aims to the causes of accidental falls on construction sites. In this research, factors of construction fall are collected through literature review. However, factors are expanded or ignored based on the direct relationship with practical procedures on construction site. Fall accident factors applied in this research are required to be exactly cooperative with the management practices on construction site, to generate the most practical analysis result. Therefore, this research can be truly beneficial to the industry. Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), a logical diagram analysis model, is built up based on compliment the research results made by experts and scholars. In the mean time, current Labor (Occupational) Safety and Health Law and related regulations are fully examined thus suggestions for amendments could be provided to the authorities according to the analysis results of this research. Eventually, it is found that the factors in FTA should be well-arranged in accordance to the practical procedures, so the greatest help can be made to the prevention of accidental falling. Besides, it is also found that the routine inspections and replacements of safety and health conservation facilities are not emphasized in the current regulations. In addition, suggestion is made as the information should be made accessible to the public on the inspection results generated by the authorities. Jen-Rong Lee 李振榮 2007 學位論文 ; thesis 123 zh-TW
