Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 系統與控制工程研究所 === 95 === This thesis mainly focuses on the discussions of the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method for the solar power generation system. In MPPT method, the output voltage and current produced from the solar cell will be sent to a microprocessor. Then the microprocessor will provide an adjustable signal according to the output voltage and current so as to adjust the duty cycle of a control signal being sent to the power switches of a boost converter.
Additionally, a bi-directional power converter will also be developed for the system. That is, the bi-directional power converter can be not only operated as the boost mode but also operated as the buck mode. When the sunlight is sufficiently provided to the solar cell, the converter will be operated as the boost mode such that the solar cell can provide a DC power to a load and the battery will also be charged by the DC power. Inversely, when the solar cell is operated in the night, the converter will be operated as the buck mode.An AC power substituted the DC power will be converted to the other DC power and incorporated to the system to supply to the load and the battery will also be charged by the other DC power.
Furthermore, the design of experiments (DOE) will be employed to find out the maximum output power for the solar power generation system.
